So past two weeks have been busy busy busy...hence the hiatus. Usually whenever I am buried neck-deep in work I tend to remind myself of the great vacations I have been on by putting some vacation pic as my desktop. For example these pics of the Amalfi coast - Cinque terre.
I have some very fond memories of this place. Also what makes it so memorable is this restaurant which serves the best tiramisu I have ever eaten!!!
...OK so this post is not about my love for food and longing for a vacation it is about this amazing Villa in Positano which I came across. Positano is a town on Amalfi coast which has views similar to Cinque terre....check out this beautiful villa on the waterfront cliff.
Loved the usage of antique Italian tiles in a modern form contrasting with the arches in backdrop. Check out how this linear ribbon of tiles becomes a dining table paired with Saarinen's tulip chair.
